1. Position: PR and Community Relations Coordinator
Start Date: Immediate
Location: New York
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Managing Hasbara Fellowships’ public relations portfolio, including: national and local press, community networks, and marketing
- Planning and overseeing informational sessions, film screenings and parlor meetings about Hasbara Fellowships in targeted communities
- Writing and producing press releases, weekly newsletters and communiqués
- Maintaining and enhancing the Hasbara Fellowships website, list serve and social media
- Consulting on digital media projects, graphic design, and other special projects
- Coordinating with and providing relevant support for Hasbara Fellowships campus professionals and student leaders
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the field of public relations including: drafting and submitting press releases, forming and maintaining press contacts, and writing for media publication
- Demonstrated public speaking experience
- Strong familiarity with the mission and work of Hasbara Fellowships; commitment to pro-Israel principles, advocacy and programming
- Experience or familiarity with basic principles of marketing
- Demonstrated web (XHTML, CMS), graphic design (Photoshop, Dreamweaver), and newsletter (Constant Contact) proficiency
- Experience with social media outreach

2. Position: Campus Coordinators
Start Date: Start of the Fall 2011 semester
Location: New York, San Diego, and Toronto
Hasbara Fellowships is now accepting applications for Campus Coordinators for the 2011-2012 school year. Campus Coordinator positions are part-time and can be held by university students or recent graduates with demonstrated leadership in Israel activism.
The responsibilities of the Campus Coordinator position include:
- Working with Hasbara Fellows and other pro-Israel activists to plan and execute effective Israel advocacy strategies on campus
- Educating students about Israel’s history, current achievements and challenges, and how to effectively communicate for Israel
- Recruiting top student activists for the Hasbara Fellowships training program in Israel
- Depending on the size of the region, the Campus Coordinator position requires approximately 8-15 hours per week during the school semester.
Benefits include:
- Campus coordinators are frequently invited to staff the training program in Israel, participate in forums for assessing campus trends, and represent Hasbara Fellowships nationally.
- The position includes a stipend, as well as expenses covered (including the Israel program, if participating.)
Applicants should be student leaders with significant Israel activism experiences and strong knowledge of international politics (particularly concerning the Middle East).

3. Position: Regional Coordinator
Start Date: Part-time Summer 2011, Full-time September 2011
Location: New York, Boston, Toronto
The Regional Coordinator position consists of mentoring, guiding and supporting Hasbara Fellows and other student leaders for Israel throughout the region. The job entails frequent travel to campuses, as well as staffing and teaching classes on our activism training programs in Israel.
The responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing strategic guidance and consultations for the Israel movements at all universities in the region
- Providing resources, financial assistance, and ideas to Hasbara Fellows and other pro-Israel student leaders and campus professionals
- Educating about and promoting Israel on campus
- Creating and coordinating pro-Israel campaigns
- Recruiting top student activists for the Hasbara Fellows activism training program in Israel
Applicants should be recent university graduates with strong knowledge of international politics (particularly concerning the Middle East) and strong experience with campus Israel activism.
