Hasbara Fellows at Boston University have been working hard to prepare for Israel Peace Week!
With less than a week away, students met Tuesday night to put the final touches on all of their hard work. The posters are ordered, the materials ready, the message loud and clear. The week will begin on Tuesday the 22nd with Environment Day. Students will be tabling with the Environmental Student Organization all day in the Student Union planting “Plants for Peace”.
At night, Daryl Temkin will be speaking about the Israel Institute, and how Israeli technology will help end the world’s dependence on foreign oil. Wednesday they will be focusing on Human Rights, with fortune cookies about Israel and Human Rights. At night, students will be screening the movie “UNMe” which focuses on the UN and its ability to keep peace worldwide. Thursday students plan on focusing on technological developments and how technology can help promote peace in the Middle East and in the world.
The week will be topped off with an Israel themed Shabbat and a Party for Peace on Saturday night. Israel Peace Week will be filled with positive messages about Israel and her strong, consistent efforts to reach peace. Everything the students learned on Hasbara New England’s trip this winter is about to be put into action!
We can’t wait to hear about all of their successes!
