Day Three

May 27, 2011

It's been a jam packed few days since we've arrived in Israel! So far we've had the opportunity to explore the Old City, hear from Itamar Marcus from Palestinian Media Watch, and visit the Israeli Foreign Ministry in addition to learning about the roots of anti-Semitism and how to advocate for Israel on campus. So far we have had the opportunity to engage students from campuses across America and Canada about what's happening on their campuses, and how they advocate for Israel.

We were also led on a strategic tour of Jerusalem, where we saw breathtaking views of the city, West Bank, and even as far as the mountains of Jordan from Ramat Rachel. We've also had some free time to explore Jerusalem and Ben Yehuda street and the area around our hotel.

Last night we had the pleasure of learning Krav Maga with Moshe Katz, a world renowned expert from Israeli Krav International.  It was great to learn how to defend ourselves and many found the experience empowering.

Everyone on the trip has come looking to learn how to advocate the right way for the state that we call our homeland. It's been great to hear from experts in their respective fields about the current situation and we cannot wait for what the next days hold.

Shabbat shalom,
