The Hasbara Campus Pulse
NorCal Fighting Back

It looks like the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement at Berkeley has not yet disappeared. Anti-Israel students are continuing their attempts to forward a cause on a campus that has already rejected it. Next week SJP will be holding an event to teach professors how to promote divestment from Israel, and coincidentally enough, it will be at exactly the same time that Ken Stein is planned to speak to students about Palestinian-Israeli Negotiations.
But Berkeley students don't give up that easily! Tikvah: Students for Israel, the Israel Action Committee, and Gila, Hillel's Israel Shaliach, are planning a two day event on campus to promote peace and oppose divestment.
They are asking Jews and Israel supporters everywhere, both students and community members, to join en masse on Sproul next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 25 & 26) between 11:45-1:15pm wearing white shirts to show their support.
They will be handing out stickers with the Shalom symbol on this blog entry's picture. Please join students to combat divestment once again and to show that Israel supporters will continue to fight for peace until we achieve it!
Events Recap:
Pro-peace events: Oct. 25 & 26, 11:45a-1:15p, Sproul, contact Gila @ 510-898-8103
Ken Stein: Oct. 26, 7:45pm, 2060 Valley Life Sciences Building (VLSB)
