Hasbara Fellows Spotlight: Scott Gross and Aaron Czinn

Student Spotlight this week features Aaron Czinn, a sophomore from The University of Maryland, and Scott Gross, a senior from The University of Maryland. Both of these students have participated in the Hasbara Fellowship and have returned to their campus to promote pro-Israel activism. Aaron and Scott are both strong advocates for Israel and bringing positive changes to The University of Maryland campus.

Peace: One Step at a Time

The exchange of letters between the PA and Israel is only a baby step in the path towards restarting negotiations, it only indicates communication between one of the Palestinian factions.  Hamas and the PA have different agendas  concerning diplomacy and/or peace talks with Israel. Therefore for true peace negotiations to succeed, the Palestinian political factions will have to choose to represent the Palestinian people under one flag.

The P5+1 (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, U.S., Britain, France, China, Russia plus Germany) have found now the most opportune time to propose a restart of negotiations with the Iranian Regime. Their hopes are that, after all these sanctions, maybe, just maybe, Tehran will listen to the concerns of the west and stop their nuclear proliferation program once and for all.
